Great food and great views: They rarely come together, but the Joinery in Sausalito makes it happen. (Photo: John Storey, Special To The Chronicle)
Generally when you have a water-side setting the tourists take over and the service and what comes out of the kitchen disappoint. The Joinery Beerhall +Rotisserie in Sausalito is different: it’s a little less than a half mile from the main tourist area on Bridgeway, so many visitors don’t know its there. It could be burrata with crushed peas; sauteed chard with lemon and raisins; a fully realized little gem salad; smoked sausage with sauerkraut and one of the best hamburgers in the Bay Area.
